Social Media Admin Access

Step-by-step guide for adding a new admin to Simon Mamo's Instagram and Facebook business pages. Follow each step exactly. Take your time.

Add a new admin via Meta Business Suite
Before you start: The Simon Mamo Instagram account must already be connected to a Facebook Page. Both are managed through Meta Business Suite. You need to be the current admin to add another admin.
Open Meta Business Suite
Go to business.facebook.com and log in with your Facebook account (the one connected to Simon Mamo's Instagram).
Tip: Use a desktop browser, not the mobile app. The mobile app does not have all admin controls.
Open Settings
Click the ⚙️ Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Then on the left menu pick All Tools → Business Settings.

Go to People
In the left sidebar of Business Settings, click Users → People. You'll see the list of everyone with access to the Business Suite.
Click Add
Click the blue + Add button at the top of the People list. A pop-up window will open.
Enter the new admin's email
Type the new person's email address (the email tied to their personal Facebook account). Click Next.
Important: The email must match the Facebook account they use. If they sign in with a different email, the invite will not work.
Choose role: Admin Access
Toggle on Full control (also labeled Admin Access in some interfaces). This gives them the same powers as you.
Tip: Only give Admin Access to people you fully trust. They can remove you, change passwords, and post on behalf of the brand.
Assign the Instagram account
On the next screen, pick the Simon Mamo Instagram account from the list of business assets. Toggle on Full control for that asset. Click Save Changes.
They accept the invitation
The new admin will receive an email from Meta. They must click the Accept Invitation button in that email and log in with their Facebook account.
If email doesn't arrive within 10 minutes: Ask them to check spam/junk. If still missing, you can resend from Business Settings → People → click their name → Resend Invitation.
Verify access
Once they accept, refresh the People list. Their name should appear with the Full Control tag next to it. Ask them to open the Instagram account on business.facebook.com and confirm they can post on Simon Mamo's behalf.

Add a new Page admin via Page Roles
Before you start: The new admin must already have a personal Facebook account, and must be in your Facebook Friends list OR you must know the exact email of their Facebook account.
Open the Simon Mamo Facebook Page
Log into your personal Facebook account and switch to the Simon Mamo Page. Top-right corner → click your profile picture → switch to the Simon Mamo Page.
Open Settings
While viewing the Simon Mamo Page, click ⚙️ Settings & privacy in the dropdown. Then click Settings.

Go to New Pages Experience
In the left sidebar, scroll down and click New Pages Experience (or Page Setup on older Facebook UIs).
Click Page access
Click Page access. You'll see two sections: People with Facebook access and People with Task access.
Add new admin
Under People with Facebook access, click Add New. Read the explanation that appears, then click Next.
Find the person
Start typing their name or email in the search box. Facebook will suggest matches. Click on the correct person.
Important: Pick the right account. There may be multiple people with the same name. Double-check their profile picture or send them a test message first to confirm.
Toggle ON: Allow this person to have full control
On the next screen, switch ON the toggle that says Allow this person to have full control of this Page. This makes them an Admin (equal to you).
Enter your Facebook password
Facebook will ask you to re-enter your Facebook password to confirm. Type it and click Confirm.
They accept the invitation
The new admin will get a Facebook notification AND an email. They need to click Accept.
If they don't see it: Ask them to log into Facebook on desktop and check Notifications → bell icon and their email inbox.
Verify access
After they accept, refresh the Page Access list. Their name should appear under People with Facebook access with full control granted. Ask them to open the Simon Mamo Page on Facebook and confirm they see the Settings ⚙️ menu (only admins see it).

What each access level can do
Access LevelWhat it allows
Full Control Post, message, run ads, edit settings, add/remove admins, change password, delete the Page. Same powers as the owner.
Task Access Post content, reply to messages, run ads. Cannot add admins or change settings.
Read Only View insights and analytics only. Cannot post, message, or edit anything.
Rule of thumb: Give Full Control only to trusted business partners. For employees / agency, give Task Access. For accountants / external reviewers, give Read Only.

Troubleshooting
Common issues + fixes
The invite email never arrived
Wait 15 minutes. Check spam/junk. If still missing, resend from Business Settings → People → click their name → Resend Invitation. Make sure you used the exact email tied to their Facebook account.
"This email is already associated with another account"
The person already has a Facebook account using that email. Ask them to log in with that account first, then re-send the invite to the same email. Do not create a duplicate Facebook account.
Their name shows up but says "Pending"
They received the invite but haven't accepted yet. Send them a WhatsApp reminder. The invite expires after 30 days — if expired, just resend.
"You don't have permission to do this"
You are not currently an admin of the Page or Business account. Ask the original page owner (Simon Mamo's main account) to give you Full Control first, then you can add others.
Need to REMOVE an admin
Same path as adding — go to Business Settings → People → click their name → Remove Access. Confirm with your Facebook password.
Warning: If they were Admin with Full Control, they can remove YOU before you remove them. Only remove people you have communicated with first.
